Mr. Vicente Feliciano
Founder & President of Advantage Business Consulting, Mr. Feliciano has been a leading figure in Puerto Rico’s economic and business consulting community for about 20 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, Cum Laude, from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from Switzerland’s IMD, one of the world’s top business schools, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. His previous experience includes serving as head of the Financial Analysis Department of a multinational company in Lima, Peru.
In recent years, Mr. Feliciano has participated in presentations to credit-rating agencies (Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s Investors Service and Fitch Ratings) regarding Puerto Rico’s credit rating. His consulting practice has included advising clients in New Mexico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as the Puerto Rico government, hospitals and clinics, and financial institutions.
Mr. Feliciano has published numerous articles and papers on social, planning and economic-development issues.
Dr. Juan Lara
Partner and Chief Economist of Advantage Business Consulting, Dr. Lara is one of the Island’s best-known economists. He is a full professor of Economics at the University of Puerto Rico and received his doctoral and master’s degrees in economics from the Stony Brook University in New York and his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Puerto Rico.
Dr. Lara has monitored the Puerto Rico economy for more than 30 years and has written extensively on the subject. He directed the Latin American Service at Philadelphia’s Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates in the early 1980s, and has taught at Haverford College in Haverford, Pa., and Temple University in Philadelphia. As a consultant in Puerto Rico, he has managed influential studies in the housing, banking, construction and economic policy areas.
Mr. Vladimir Rivera
Partner and Senior Economist of Advantage Business Consulting, Mr. Rivera has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in economics, both awarded with honors from the University of Puerto Rico. He has worked in economic and business consulting in Puerto Rico for more than 15 years.
Mr. Rivera is an expert in performing all kinds of feasibility, market and economic impact studies. In addition, he is a senior advisor on health issues and has developed many projects in Puerto Rico in this field.
